Manheim confirms first sale date for new Gloucester super centre

Manheim Auction Services’ new Gloucester super centre is open and readying for its first sale event on Thursday 24 October.

More than 600 vans, trucks and plant items are expected at the Gloucester super centre’s inaugural sale

The revamped centre near Dursley has been transformed into a specialist facility for LCV, HGV, plant and equipment sales spanning nine acres.

More than 600 vans, trucks and plant items are expected to drive through the lanes at the inaugural sale, offered from 48 vendors and worth around £6.5m.

It’s the beginning of a new fortnightly sales programme that will bring LCV and HGV stock together for an “unparalleled in-lane auction experience”.

Matthew Davock, director of commercial vehicles for Manheim, said: “We’ve been overwhelmed by positive feedback from our customers since we announced the opening of Gloucester as a new dedicated commercial vehicle site in the south west.

“The fortnightly sale programme will bring a new and exciting dynamic to the van, truck and plant auction world, and we’ve lined up a brilliant first sale with almost 50 vendors selling over 600 units on the day. We’re all really excited to welcome buyers online and on site on 24 October, and to launch our event-style sale.”

Stock will be available to buy from dealer and fleet companies such as Novuna, Arval, Zenith, VWFS, Hendy, Enterprise, DPD, Avis, Lombard and many more. The two asset classes will be auctioned simultaneously, with all vehicles being available to view before the sale, before being driven through the lanes. Buyers can attend in person, or online using Simulcast.
