Manheim has appointed Matthew Davock as director of commercial vehicles as it looks to further drive its success in the CV sector.
Davock replaces James Davis – who has moved to the role of customer insight and strategy director for commercial vehicles – and brings more than 20 years’ experience at the firm. He joined from school to work with Manheim’s Haydock auction centre, and worked his way up to join the National CV team as head of LCV in 2014.
His work includes launching a dedicated CV selling centre in Shepshed, introducing a second lane at the business’s Gloucester branch and adding a new sale to the Haydock auction programme. He has also been instrumental in supporting the development of Manheim’s online commercial vehicle offering.
Peter Bell, managing director of Manheim, said: “Matthew has shown exceptional skills in his role as head of LCV, and together he and James have strived to achieve Manheim’s position as the clear market-leader.
“At Manheim, we take pride in supporting our team members to achieve their career goals. I am delighted that Matthew will now bring his expertise and knowledge to this new appointment and look forward to working with him on a strategy that will continue to build on our success in the CV sector as we head into 2019 and beyond.”
