As a result of the partnership, Masternaut’s telematics solutions will now benefit from an enhanced interface which can be configured to reflect multiple user preferences.
The new system was trialled by work-wear rental and cleaning specialist Micronclean, which was looking to streamline its logistics operations. Working with MapMechanics, Micronclean installed Masternaut’s vehicle tracking system across the fleet, providing real-time feedback on journey and delivery times.
Having worked with Masternaut and MapMechanics since 1997, Micronclean claims major efficiency gains in its collection and delivery systems, and a 15% reduction in overall fleet size.
Commenting on the partnership, Martin Hiscox, chairman and CEO of Masternaut, commented: ‘We are always looking at ways to provide our customers with a solution that helps them stay ahead of the competition. In MapMechanics we have a fantastic partner which shares a common customer service philosophy; together we are dedicated to providing innovative solutions that really make a difference to our customers’ businesses by taking advantage of the unique benefits offered by combined Masternaut and MapMechanics technologies.’
Mary Short, director and founder of MapMechanics, added: ‘For over 25 years we have supplied specialist mapping and logistics solutions for clients that include Tesco, Wincanton and Oracle; as well as providing data to Masternaut themselves for over a decade, for customers such as ATS Euromaster. We’ve invested in extensive research and development to look at ways we can integrate our technology with organisations like Masternaut to help clients secure valuable savings. Today we can achieve this by adding real-time fleet updates and historical data into our analytics and scheduling tools.’
