The tools are based on data generated by Maxoptra’s route planning and optimisation algorithms and can be embedded into any website, using a map screen to provide customers with information including the estimated time of delivery and current vehicle location. Data is automatically and continuously updated using on-board telematics.

The app can also automatically generate SMS or email notifications, including links to real time status updates.

Earlier this year, Maxoptra announced the launch of a new Facebook bot that provides real-time delivery information to customers, using the Facebook Messenger service.

“The Maxoptra Website Widgets and Facebook bot mean customers can access everything they need to know about an order when they want to know it,” said Stuart Brunger, business development director at Maxoptra. “They also make the provision of SMS and email notifications very easy.”
