The model revealed at the CV Show features a 64kWh battery, giving a WLTP combined range of 208 miles (335km). The 163hp electric motor delivers peak torque of 240Nm.

Equipment includes a 12.3-inch infotainment screen with Bluetooth and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Driver safety features include adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning and lane keep assistance, 360-degree surrounding camera and rear sensor, and speed limit warnings.

Maxus also showcased the new Mifa 7 MPV, which joins the larger Mifa 9 launched in 2022 and is aimed at taxi drivers, executive chauffeurs, hotels and hospitality providers, as well as families.

Also available to order now and priced from £48,774, it’s equipped with electric sliding doors and a hidden door handle design, plus a large panoramic sunroof. The seven-seater also boasts the best internal width ratio in its class, according to Maxus.

The Mifa 7 is offered in two variants, including a Premium trim model that features a 90kWh battery, giving a range of up to 298 miles/480km (WLTP combined), and married up with a 245hp electric motor.

The line-up also includes Luxury & Elite models, fitted with a 77kWh battery offering 255 miles/410km WLTP combined.

Both new models are due to start deliveries in August 2024.

Mark Barrett, managing director of group franchises at Harris Group, said: “As a young brand, Maxus has swiftly emerged as a trailblazer in the electric vehicle sector. And while we may be perceived as disruptors, our commitment to enhancing EV technology remains steadfast. Since 2016, we have introduced 10 superb commercial and passenger vehicles to the UK market, eight of which are fully electric.

“Our latest products are yet another example of our e-vehicle market leadership and our unmatched ambition to continually build on our range. The eDeliver 5 combines impressive range with adaptable design, while the Mifa 7 blends luxury comfort with cutting edge technology and efficiency. These vehicles not only showcase Maxus’ relentless pursuit of innovation but also underscore our mission to provide customers with unparalleled driving experiences.”
