Maxus scrappage deal could save £14k on electric switch

Drivers looking to go electric could save up to £14k on a new zero-emission Maxus van under the firm’s scrappage programme.

Vehicles included in the scrappage deal include the eDeliver 9 and eDeliver 3 vans, plus the T90 EV pickup and the Mifa 9 MPV

The retail-focused scheme is live now until 31 August 2023 and enables drivers to upgrade their existing vehicle while making a considerable saving on standard retail prices.

Deals include up to £14k + VAT allowance off an eDeliver 9 large electric van and a free home or workplace charger.

Drivers could also get £1k + VAT allowance off the electric eDeliver 3 small van, T90 EV pickup or the Mifa 9 MPV, with a free charger included again.

Mark Barrett, general manager of Harris Maxus, said: “Maxus recognises that it has a key role to play in accelerating the switch to electric driving. Our new scrappage scheme has been created to encourage the transition to zero-emission transport, helping drivers make the switch while simultaneously removing older and higher emission vehicles from our roads.

“There has never been a better time to pick up a Maxus electric vehicle, this scrappage programme is an incredible opportunity to upgrade your transportation, make the move to electric and access the latest technology and battery technology available, which in the case of the Mifa 9 offers a range of up to 323 miles (NEDC) on a single charge.”

The deal goes live as Transport for London launches its vehicle scrappage scheme to help drivers and businesses replace or retrofit older, polluting vehicles to comply with the Ultra-Low Emission Zone (ULEZ) ahead of the expansion of the ULEZ across outer London from 29 August 2023.
