The much-anticipated Maxus T90 electric pickup is now available to order, priced from £49,950 and providing the UK’s first all-electric pickup.
Showcased at the CV Show earlier this year, it’s an electric version of the T90 that’s on sale in China. It features a 204hp motor driving the rear wheels only, powered by an 88.55kWh battery and giving a combined range of 220 miles under the WLTP city rating.
It also delivers a payload of 1,000kg – enabling VAT recovery for business purposes – and towing capacity (braked trailer) of 1,500kg. Max ground clearance is 19cm and wading depth is 550mm.
The interior is said to be roomy and onboard equipment includes a 10.25-inch digital touch screen instrument cluster, reversing camera and rain-sensing windscreen wipers.
The T90 EV also comes with halogen headlights with automatic induction and LED daytime running light, plus 17-inch alloy wheels and a stainless-steel sports bar and outside rope hook.
More than 1,000 orders have already been placed for the T90EV and demand is expected to be high.
Deliveries are due to start in early Q1 2023.
