Mercedes-Benz Sprinter delivers the goods for QCEL

Catering equipment specialist QCEL has deployed another vehicle from Mercedes-Benz Vans dealer Rossetts Commercials to help with its latest business win.

The Worthing-based business – Quality Catering Equipment Ltd – has signed a new contract with its biggest client, a leading high street pizza chain, to deliver two-deck pizza ovens to more than 170 restaurants nationwide.

The new chassis cab Sprinter supplied by Rossetts enables QCEL to transport two ovens at a time while its dropside body fitted by Solent Bodybuilders and 500kg DEL column tail-lift aid with unloading.

QCEL will also assign its Sprinter to other duties, including deliveries of fryers for a well-known chain of chicken restaurants.

The vehicle joins the operator’s three other Mercedes-Benz vehicles: a Sprinter panel van, a Vito and a Citan Sport.  The Sprinter and Vito vans are used to deliver equipment and parts, while the Citan Sport is assigned to engineering support staff.

QCEL is also planning to build on its partnership with Rossetts Commercials later this year as it recruits additional field service engineers in line with business growth.

Managing director Steve Coleman said: “Our teams love the comfort of their Mercedes-Benz vans, as they arrive on-site feeling fresh and ready to do the job. For my part, it’s reassuring as an operator to know that I’m sending my people out in the safest vans on the road, while Rossetts can supply and look after anything from a small Citan to a heavy truck.”
