Mercedes-Benz takes full responsibility for marketing used vans

Overseeing this customer-focused business development, Mick Glover takes on the newly created role of use remarketing manager, Mercedes-Benz Vans. Mr Glover has responsibility for the management of the used van remarketing function, which will cover wholesale and retail sales, sales administration, defleet and logistics, dealer targeting and RV portfolio management.

He will be implementing and controlling processes for used vans to help ensure high stock turn, tight financial controls, maximised sales and high levels of customer service.

Commenting on his new position, Mr Glover said: “The used van market in the UK is around three times bigger than the new van market, so there is a fantastic opportunity now to maximise our strength in this area. The right vehicle for a customer may well be a used one, and we are committed to helping people find the right vehicle for their needs, whether that is new or used; we can supply the right vehicle for their budget.”

Having worked in the Mercedes-Benz Commercial Vehicle business for 20 years, he has worked closely with the Dealer Network to provide the best service to both retail and fleet customers, and has extensive experience in dealing directly with fleet and retail customers. His most recent role was as Head of Service Quality for Mercedes-Benz Vans.
