Working with the FTA to create a unique programme tailored for a van manufacturer, all 77 Mercedes-Benz Vans colleagues based at Milton Keynes, including sales, fleet, service & parts, customer services, and marketing are now FTA Van Excellence qualified.
The programme is based upon the best practice guidelines contained in FTA’s Van Excellence Code, and covers a wide range of key industry topics, including vehicle standards, legislation, operator licencing, driver hours, overloading and trailer towing.
Commenting on the achievement, Steve Bridge, managing director of Mercedes-Benz Vans, said: ‘It is important that all Mercedes-Benz Vans colleagues understand the issues affecting van operators, to enable us to best support our customers. By putting every colleague through the FTA Van Excellence qualification means that we are well-placed to answer any question and give guidance where needed from any member of the team.’
