Now in its 11th year, the event will allow guests to test the vans in a range of categories, including stability, fuel efficiency and crossing difficult terrain off-road, with real-world driving challenges in a safe and controlled environment.
There are four key demonstrations – wet grip assessment including competitor testing, Adaptive ESP testing using different load configurations, MPG challenges and traction control testing on an off-road course designed to represent real-word conditions, whether it is at a construction site, delivering to rural locations or responding to 999 emergency call-outs across rough terrain.
Almost 200 Mercedes-Benz vehicles will be on display and on test for the duration of the two-week event, which takes place in Warwickshire, including a range of bodied vehicles from coaches to construction, taxis to blue light and parcel delivery to lifestyle vehicles.
There will be a significant focus on Service & Parts at the event, with an Accessories vehicle present to highlight the range of products available to personalise Mercedes-Benz vans, details of Genuine Oil and its benefits, and a GenuineParts display and “price it right” competition, highlighting the value of using Mercedes-Benz products.
Steve Bridge, managing director, Mercedes-Benz Vans, said: ‘I am extremely proud of the Van Experience events, which have now been running for 11 years. We are the only manufacturer offering this type of in-depth testing of our entire vehicle range and continue to grow in scale each year. We are aiming to get our biggest ever attendance for VanExperience LIVE 2014 and look forward to welcoming more than 1,800 customers to our event.’
If any van operator would like to attend VanExperience LIVE 2014, they will need to contact their local Mercedes-Benz Vans Dealer for full event details.
