Acorn Homes has currently got three sites running in Somerset, consisting of houses, barn conversions and flats, and will be putting up 40 flats in the centre of Taunton in the new year.
Company director Mark Thomas said: "I’ve had quite a lot of L200s in the past so I know the vehicle performs well. I’m really pleased with our purchases. The Series 5 model looks very good, and hopefully with our name on the side they’ll be a good advert for the company as well."
The pick-ups, which Mitsubishi claim can achieve up to 42.8mpg and travel more than 700 miles on a single tank, will be used by the site managers for transport and to move materials. The vehicles will also be used by the sales and letting manager, who has to do visits and sometimes needs to carry out light maintenance.
