Modul-System develops flexible solution for parcel delivery services

Aimed at businesses that require good storage capabilities but occasionally need to utilise the full floor space of their service vehicles, the shelves can be used to increase the load area in the vehicle by up to 50% and can also be stowed away to enable larger items to be placed on the vehicle floor.

Built from ultra-high strength steel and equipped with gas struts as standard, the shelves incorporate higher side and rear edges to ensure packages remain secure when the vehicle is being driven while the lower, specially designed, front edge facilitates unloading.

Thomas Johansson, vice president at Modul-System, said: “Our goal was to design a product which is both better and lighter than similar solutions on the market today. Our product enables the customer to become more efficient, and load more in their service vans, without exceeding payload.”

The shelves are available in several lengths. Each one has a load capacity of 120kg, and can be mounted with an incline if required. Modul-System can also offer a non-intrusive installation.

From 2017 the firm will also offer a lightweight bulkhead with a sliding door, for quick and easy access to the cargo area.
