MV Commercial expands with new £3m van centre

Commercial vehicle rental and sales specialist MV Commercial has invested in a new £3m van centre in response to rising customer demand for vans.

The new 1.5-acre site on Houstoun Industrial Estate in Livingston will help answer fast-rising demand for vans

Although the business has traditionally specialised in the supply of HGVs, it’s reported increased demand for vans and LCVs in the last year, from both existing and new customers.

The new 1.5-acre site on Houstoun Industrial Estate in Livingston will help answer this.

It’s strategically located just off J3 on the M8 in the central Scottish belt and hosts a range of vehicles including standard panel vans, Lutons, dropsiders, and welfare units, as well as a select stock of dry freight units.

Onsite facilities include a valet marquee, wash bay and main office complex.

The centre will also benefit from its close proximity to MV Commercial’s central hub in Airdrie, giving access to the company’s 90,000 sq. ft of internal workspace, finance, maintenance, engineering, fabrication and painting facilities only some 30 miles away.

Steven Cairns, managing dector of MV Commercial, said: “Whilst this expansion further extends our core vehicle provision capabilities, our ethos remains the same and that is delivering cost-effective solutions for our customers’ vehicle needs.

“All of our late registered vehicles come directly from our vast existing hire fleet and have all been maintained by our in-house service and support teams, thereby ensuring we are providing customers with the highest possible quality.”
