The company has installed the forward facing cameras across a fleet of vans operated by its team of installation engineers.
According to Intelligent Telematics, the cameras will capture high definition video footage and supporting vehicle data of any road collisions and harsh driving event to provide complete visibility and proof of what has occurred.
This will enable National Windscreens to respond immediately to any accidents or near misses involving fleet vans to minimise financial and operational risk. As a result, the company is targeting significant cost savings from reduced insurance claims and improved driver behaviour, while supporting Duty of Care responsibilities.
Commenting on the partnership, Dave Quarterman, managing director of National Windscreen (South East) said: ‘We are seeing an increase in crash for cash, bogus whiplash and fraudulent claims, so the vehicle cameras will help us protect our engineers and avoid unnecessary insurance costs. Since installing the solution we have already successfully challenged two claims by proving what actually took place, demonstrating its importance to our business moving forward.
‘We are also seeing a demand for vehicle cameras from our customers, so we will be working closely with Intelligent Telematics to provide advanced solutions that will meet their precise fleet requirements and offer measurable business and operational benefits.’
‘We have developed the most sophisticated vehicle camera solutions currently available that combine leading video and telematics technologies. National Windscreens (South East) is the latest organisation to recognise the value we can provide not only in reducing the severity and frequency of vehicle fleet insurance claims, but also helping modify driving styles and minimise potential risk,’ added Sam Footer of Intelligent Telematics.
