Nationwide Vehicle Assistance to grow ‘ONSITE’ vehicle repair service for fleets

Nationwide Vehicle Assistance (NWVA) is expanding its ‘ONSITE’ vehicle repair service for fleets through a new business development programme.

NWVA is expanding its ‘ONSITE’ vehicle repair service for fleets

Used by prominent fleets in the UK and Europe, including Sky and Saint Gobain, the ONSITE service has been designed to drastically reduce vehicle offroad (VOR) time by delivering a mobile repair service when and where it suits the client and – critically – without impacting on driver downtime and customer service.

This helps eliminate unscheduled VOR situations and protects fleets from the need to secure costly and timely workshop capacity from static dealer workshops or independent service centres.

It’s fulfilled by a network of experienced technicians, all of whom are trained to the highest standard and who operate a fully equipped mobile workshop, and aimed at fleets running light commercial vehicles and upwards.

A spokesperson for the company explained: “Our expertise is to make pretty much every accident damage road-legal within hours of it occurring and types of accident can range from replacing wing mirrors to major welding jobs.”

The new business development programme will expand the further, enabling more fleet operators to access the benefits.

Mick Jennings, NWVA’s managing director, commented: “It’s a unique service for our fleet clients and one we are keen to extend to other fleets around the UK. We are proud to be able to employ some of the best technicians in the country – experienced professionals who are trained to find a semi-permanent repair solution to any vehicle damage situation, rather than taking the vehicle out of service. The savings we can provide fleet managers are immense and we are looking to increase our customer base to enable more businesses to benefit from the ONSITE service.”

The service is operated in partnership with Sopp+Sopp, which said its customers have benefited from significant reductions in driver and vehicle downtime through using it.

Callum Langan, Sopp+Sopp commercial director, said: “Feedback from our customers has been very positive commenting that the ONSITE service not only controls costs but significantly reduces vehicle downtime and the need to hire replacement vehicles which enables their own fleet to continue providing high levels of service and on-time deliveries to their customers. Everyone benefits from this service and we are delighted to be working with NWVA to deliver the advantages to our customers.”
