The new-generation Ranger Raptor – billed as the ultimate performance pickup – is now on sale, priced from £57,340 including VAT.
Developed by Ford Performance, it marks the second generation of the beefed-up Raptor variant and the first version of the new Ranger pickup to go on sale.
Debuts for the model include a 388hp twin-turbo 3.0-litre EcoBoost V6 engine, FOX Live Valve dampers and seven selectable drive modes to cover a variety of terrains. A new active exhaust system delivers adjustable engine sounds with four exhaust modes to suit different driving scenarios.
Onboard tech also gets an upgrade with a 12.4-inch all-digital cluster and 12-inch central touchscreen – featuring Ford’s new-generation SYNC 4A connectivity and entertainment system.
Options available on the new online configurator include new paintwork choices such as Arctic White, Blue Lightning and Code Orange, and features such as the Raptor Exterior Dress-Up pack, a Splash Decal package, functional load bars and roller shutters.
“Being able to build their dream next-gen Ranger Raptor is now a reality for our customers and they can experiment with the range of options with our online configurator,” said Hans Schep, general manager, Ford Pro, Europe.
“Whatever the combination, Ranger Raptor will always deliver its trademark ultimate off-road driving experience.”
Customer deliveries are set to begin in late summer.
