New appointments at Sign Language underpin fleet business growth

The newly created roles were previously fulfilled by long-serving operations manager Nigel Brown, who continues in his post.

The new appointments come with Sign Language already seeing a major increase in business, notably from vehicle fleets, in the first weeks of 2014.

Turnover at the expanding company was more than £1 million in 2013, but that is forecast to increase by around 300% in 2014 with 90% of earnings from the fleet sector.

Managing director Tobin Jenkins said: ‘We announced a major new contract with Autoglass early this year and anticipate being able to announce a significant further contract win with an existing customer in the coming weeks.

‘In addition, Sign Language continues to win other business with both end-user fleets and through our relationships with a number of the UK’s major contract hire and leasing companies including Lex Autolease and LeasePlan.’

A further wave of new jobs sees Sign Language currently recruiting four vinyl applicators to strengthen its in-house fitting team.

Jenkins said: ‘The volume of business we are now winning means that it is more cost-effective for Sign Language to increase the number of fitters it directly employs.

‘It also means that we can further improve our customer service by improved work scheduling and increase our already high quality levels. As a result, employing our own experienced applicators will deliver significant customer benefits.’
