New Fiat Doblò arrives with first-ever E-Doblò eLCV

Fiat has revealed the new Doblò line-up, which includes the first-ever all-electric E-Doblò variant.

The E-Doblò will be the third fully electric vehicle in Fiat Professional’s product range after the E-Ducato and E-Scudo

Designed for optimum versatility, payload and safety, the latest Doblò is available with both petrol/diesel engines and a fully electric version that delivers more than 173 miles of range.

The E-Doblò will be the third fully electric vehicle in Fiat Professional’s product range after the E-Ducato and E-Scudo and supports its electrification strategy. Fiat is planning to go fully electric on every new model in Europe by 2024 and to offer an all-electric line-up from 2027.

Built on the same Stellantis platform as its Peugeot, Citroën and Vauxhall siblings, along with the Toyota Proace City, the new Doblò will be available in the UK in two lengths and van and crew cab configurations. It provides up to 4.4m3 of load capacity along with payloads of 800kg for the fully electric version – said to be class-leading – and 1,000kg for ICE versions.

Powertrain line-up includes a 110hp 1.2-litre petrol and two diesel versions: a 100hp 1.5-litre with manual transmission and a 130hp 1.5-litre variant with either manual or eight-speed automatic transmission.

The E-Doblò features a 134hp electric motor that delivers up to 260Nm of torque and a top speed of 80mph. It’s connected to a 50kWh battery that can be charged at up to 100kW DC, giving an 80% charge in 30 minutes. Drivers can choose between different modes: Normal, Eco and Power.

Fiat is also offering a range of ‘Magic Features’ to boost flexibility. The ‘Magic Cargo’ function delivers a 0.5m3 increase in cargo volume that enables long objects such as pipes or ladders up to 3.4m in length to be loaded. A hidden compartment under the passenger seat can be used for boxes or fragile objects while a rotating tray table can turn the Doblò cabin into a mobile office.

The Magic Mirror is a 5-inch digital rearview mirror that provides three different views, including a complete view of the blind spot area.

Magic Plug functionality on the E-Doblò enables the battery to be used to power appliances such a cargo fridge or a workbench for power tools.

Onboard equipment includes head-up display and front and rear parking sensors while the new Doblò also offers 17 safety and advanced driver assistance systems.

The Doblò LCV version also comes with a Grip Control System and hill descent control for gradients more than 3%.

The new Doblò and E-Doblò will be manufactured in the Stellantis plant in Spain alongside their group siblings.
