New finance and service directors at Rygor Commercials

Rygor Commercials has announced two promotions from within its 550-strong team to director roles.

Tim Smith – finance director at Rygor

Tim Smith is the newly promoted finance director at the Mercedes-Benz commercial vehicle dealer group,

Smith has been with the Rygor business since 2012 when he joined as an assistant management accountant. He was promoted to financial controller in April 2017, coinciding with him qualifying as a Chartered Accountant. During this time, he has been at the forefront of refining and enhancing the company’s financial processes which affect all areas of the business.

Graham Drake, Rygor owner director, said: “Those who work with Tim will know how well he combines his technical knowledge, with his down to earth approach, making him an excellent colleague and exceptional leader in the business. We have all had a challenging time during the last 12 months and Tim has made a real difference to the business, taking on additional responsibilities. I am so pleased that he is now able to begin this next challenge, and I look forward to continuing to support Tim in his role as he takes on more of the finance director responsibilities over the coming weeks and months.”

Sean Joyce, Rygor service director

Smith’s appointment comes hot on the heels of the promotion of Sean Joyce to the role of service director. Joyce was previously service manager at the company’s Heathrow Van Centre. He started his career as an apprentice technician and moved down from Liverpool to the dealer’s Heathrow branch more than 15 years ago, to join the business as a technician. Over the years, he has worked his way up through the company’s service department.

He will be supported in his director role, by newly promoted group service operations manager, Luke Mason, who has also been promoted from within the firm.

Sean Joyce said: “For us, it’s always about providing the highest levels of customer service, something we have been committed to even throughout the current pandemic. I do want to take this opportunity to thank all our team members who have kept our business running, and our key workers on the road throughout the past 11 months, whilst all our aftersales departments remained open. Our team at Rygor really inspires me, so I hope that I can inspire and lead them in this new role.”
