McGurk is already credited with being instrumental in returning Pullman Fleet Services, which provides commercial vehicle maintenance and fleet management in the UK, to profit over the last 18 months in his role as acting head and will continue to drive further improvements to both operational and financial performance in his new role.

Prior to his role at Pullman, which is a subsidiary of Wincanton, he held senior general management and supply chain positions at Jewson, ATS Euromaster as well as nine years at CHEP.

McGurk commented: “I am excited to continue the transformation of Pullman Fleet Services. There are good long-term prospects for growth and opportunities to engage with existing and new customers in the maintenance and management of their fleets including all makes and models. I look forward to driving further success for Pullman Fleet Services.”

Chris Fenton, managing director of industrial & transport, added: “Vince has considerable knowledge in supply chain and operations. We’re confident that he will use this wealth of experience to build on the successes we have already enjoyed within Pullman including industry leading levels of uptime at 97% and MOT pass rate of over 98%. It is an exciting part of the market and I look forward to working with Vince and the team to continue Pullman’s success.”
