New ‘Nexus Connect’ app to streamline entire rental process

Nexus Vehicle Rental has introduced a new mobile app that delivers enhanced functionality to end-users to streamline all aspects of the rental process.

James Maden, sales & marketing director at Nexus Vehicle Rental

The Nexus Connect app is available for both iOS and Android and enables users to manage their bookings in one place, including extensions, off-hires and cancellations.

The solution connects customers, the Nexus team and suppliers within one platform from mobile devices and supports all bookings for cars, LCVs and HGVs.

Key features include a comprehensive in-app vehicle handover tool, which enables drivers to input all information required during both the delivery and collection process, including fuel/battery level, mileage, rental paperwork and details about vehicle condition.

The data is then uploaded to the cloud, giving a live update on the Nexus IRIS fleet management platform.

Nexus Connect also allows users to upload images and use its text recognition capability when uploading images of documents and vehicle registrations.

The new app also enables users to manage multi-vehicle fleets, helping fully streamline back-end administration fleet management and invoicing processes.

It’s the latest tech development at Nexus, which has more than 20 years’ experience in applying technology to meet changing industry trends and customer demands.

James Maden, sales & marketing director at Nexus Vehicle Rental, said: “We are really excited about the launch of Nexus Connect and the enhanced functionality it offers our customers, enabling them to have full control of the end-to-end rental process where they are.

“Our product development is delivered in-house, we ensure our technology suits the changing needs of our customers. We have customers across a multitude of sectors, but the key to our proposition is helping them achieve maximum efficiencies within their fleet operation.”

Nexus announced in January that private equity firm Equistone Partners Europe had taken a majority stake in the company from Phoenix Equity Partners. Equistone is working with Nexus to support its latest growth plans and its focus on new product developments to support customers’ changing mobility requirements.
