New one-stop shop Nexus fleet management system includes driver behaviour monitoring

Dubbed NEXFLEET, the cloud-based system enables anytime, anywhere access and is also said to offer quick and easy initial set-up, being ready to use in less than 10 minutes.

The system covers all aspects of fleet management; from driver management, vehicle maintenance to Motor Insurance Database (MID) reporting and driver licence checking –all from one easy-to-use dashboard. Automated delivery of many tasks is provided with events scheduled and a range of event or time driven alerts offered to help to ensure no task is ever missed. Information is updated in real time, enabling managers to identify trends, issues and opportunities. Fleet managers can direct fleet and driver performance from concise dynamic dashboards.

NEXFLEET enables fleet managers to simply enter a registration into the system to access a full vehicle profile and history report. The date of acquisition, funding method, predicted disposal details, Future MOT, tax and MID monitoring will then become automated through NEXFLEET, with reminders sent directly to the fleet manager and available on the NEXFLEET dashboard.

Driver training and behavioural monitoring in NEXFLEET provides a range of both employee and business benefits. These include continuous improvement of road safety performance, reduced insurance premiums and claims, reduced fuel consumption and vehicle wear and tear. NEXFLEET’s online post-test and risk management training modules include speed awareness, hazard perception, competence and concentration.

Its comprehensive reporting suite will assist users to increase workforce productivity and maximise fleet efficiency. In addition to a driver Smartphone app, the software also incorporates a number of key time saving features, including:

  • Bulk information uploading tool
  • Online SMR, tyre and windscreen services at the touch of a button
  • Online driving licence checking
  • SMS automated mileage updates
  • Vehicle alerts and reminders
  • Fleet and driver profiling
  • Interaction with fleet telematics

There are no penalties or restrictions on usage, and multiple users are allowed.

Nexus managing director John Ellis said: ‘NEXFLEET has been specifically designed to help fleet managers maintain their fleet and driver records, and increase training to avoid costly repairs by identifying problems early enough for them to be put right quickly and at minimal cost.’
