New record for LCV sales at BCA Belle Vue Manchester

BCA Belle Vue Manchester has set a new record for LCV volumes, with the site selling over 400 light commercials in one day for the first time, as buyers turned out in force for the regular weekly sale.

BCA Belle Vue Manchester recently sold over 400 light commercials in one day.

In total, 407 LCVs were sold on 5 July, just weeks ahead of the completion of BCA’s purpose-built, dedicated LCV remarketing centre on a 6.5-acre site adjacent to the existing 32-acre auction facility.

The centre will open for business in late 2017 and features open plan auction lanes with undercover viewing for 400 vehicles and Live Online support and is the first purpose-built remarketing facility dedicated to light commercial vehicles opened by BCA.

Commenting on the Belle Vue record performance, BCA’s LCV Operations Director, Duncan Ward said: “The commercial team at Belle Vue should be congratulated for consistently achieving strong sales results across a wide range of stock in a fast-changing marketplace.

“The market for LCVs has seen some pressure in recent weeks, with volumes remaining high and an element of cherry-picking from buyers. This has led to the development of a two-tier market where the best presented and specified vans outperform the market by some margin, while older, less attractive stock can struggle to attract buyers.”
