New technology to help fleets maximise van uptime

New artificial intelligence (AI) powered technology that helps drivers carry out health checks in minutes could help slash fleet downtime.

Angela Montacute, CEO of Digital Innk

Developed by Digital Innk, the tool enables the driver to carry out and submit a real-time vehicle walkaround. It also ensures the records of health checks and notifications can be stored and made visible through a cloud platform.

Commenting on the launch, Angela Montacute, CEO of Digital Innk, said: “When it comes to commercial vehicles, it’s essential to keep your fleet on the road. Vehicle off-road time from compliance tasks can impact a fleet’s efficiency and impact the bottom line.

“We’ve designed the Health Check tool within our ViSN platform to be simple to use, and tasks can be completed in minutes. It means more time on the road for drivers and better compliance rates for fleet managers.”

Other benefits of the Health Check tool include the ability to instantly book any required SMR tasks through an approved network of suppliers, where garages receive an automatically generated job sheet. Jobs can also be proactively managed around a vehicle’s schedule.

The technology can also be tailored to each company’s requirements; health checks can be set to a daily, weekly and monthly basis.
