Like its panel van and doublecab siblings, the second-generation Combi variant is available in two chassis lengths (4,998 or 5,398mm), while the panel van is also offered in two different heights (1,971 or 2,465mm).
However, compared to the predecessor, the new variants of the Vivaro have up to 100mm more loading space length. The cab has also been extended in length by 116mm. The changes result in more load volume, with the panel van offering up to 8.6 cubic meters.
The Combi comes with a removable three-seat bench in the second and third rows. In addition, the backrest in the third row is tiltable and there’s interior trim panelling to protect the rear compartment.
Other features include the introduction of the Opel IntelliLink-Infotainment-System with a seven-inch colour touchscreen and navigation function, which is available for the first time for the Vivaro. There’s also comfort features such as keyless access “Keyless Open & Start”.
Engine line-up in Europe comprises two completely new turbo diesels in four output levels, including the 90PS and 115PS 1.6 CDTI units along with the 120PS and 140PS 1.6 BiTurbo CDTI engine with sequential charging and twin-cooler-system. The 120PS Bi-Turbo unit has an official fuel consumption of 5.7l/100km (50mpg), with 149g/km.
Prices for the UK have not been announced but the new Vivaro Combi starts at €25,485 net in Germany.
