Newcastle City Council updates van fleet with new Vauxhalls

The new additions include 81 Movanos, featuring both the Movano Panel Van as well as the Movano Tipper Cab variant, as well as 24 Combo vans, which will be used by plumbers and electricians, and for property maintenance.

Newcastle City Council Cabinet Member for Neighbourhoods Councillor Nick Kemp said: “Having a fleet of reliable and fuel-efficient vehicles is key to delivering high quality services to the residents of Newcastle which they rightly deserve.

“These new vehicles emit lower CO2 emissions which keeps the air that we breathe cleaner while the start/stop technology reduces fuel consumption meaning more money can be spent on public services.”

Richard Collier, Vauxhall’s national commercial vehicle and business-to-business sales manager, added: “We have been working with the team at Bristol Street Motors and we are pleased that Newcastle City Council has chosen Vauxhall to supply its service vehicles. By choosing the Movano and Combo models, the council has selected vans that are not only versatile but reliable and economical to run too.”
