‘No touch’ signature capture app to keep mobile workers safe amid Covid-19

A new ‘no touch’ signature capture app to eliminate sign-on-glass handling of mobile devices is being launched to keep workers and customers safe during the crisis.

The BigChange app allows this signature to be captured on the recipient’s own smartphone

Aimed at mobile workers making deliveries or doing onsite service work, the app has been developed by mobile workforce management technology company BigChange as a result of the lockdown and forms part of the JobWatch mobile workforce management platform.

Developed in response to customers requests, the app enables the acknowledgment signature to be captured on the recipient’s own smartphone.

The link for signature capture can be shared via email, WhatsApp, SMS or whatever app the customer uses, and will be available from the third week in April 2020 in the JobWatch.

“To minimise the spread of COVID-19, staff making deliveries or undertaking essential service work need to maintain a safe distance from their customers. Sign on glass has become the norm for providing a proof of service or delivery but it involves handing the device to the recipient. Our No Touch Signature Capture feature addresses this problem and will help keep mobile workers and their customers safe,” said Martin Port CEO and founder of BigChange.
