Northgate Vehicle Hire has appointed Melanie Creedy to the newly created role of EV business development manager, reinforcing the firm’s ongoing commitment to the electrification of customers’ fleets.
Creedy brings more than eight years of fleet expertise to support Northgate’s sales team in setting up robust strategies to help businesses manage the transition into electrified fleets, offering turnkey solutions including EV infrastructure.
Her background includes her most recent role as business development manager at EV leasing firm DriveElectric, where she spent over three years.
Commenting on her new position, Creedy said: “I am excited to be working for such an established brand within the industry, and one with such an extensive national reach. For a lot of fleets, the Drive to Zero can seem challenging, but I am delighted to simplify that process as much as possible at all levels. With the right framework for a transition to EVs, it can be a remarkably simple process.”
She will work closely with Kathleen Whittam – head of strategic accounts – in facilitating customers’ transition from internal combustion vehicles to EVs, further contributing to Northgate’s own Drive to Zero.
Whittam said: “We are looking forward to Melanie adding to our already highly skilled team, her knowledge of facilitating large-scale fleet transitions, and her passion for greener, more sustainable fleets will be of huge benefit to all.”
- Northgate will be at this month’s free-to-attend Great British Fleet Event, showcasing how it can help fleet managers with the Drive to Zero. To find out more about the Great British Fleet Event, click here, or for registration information, visit here.
