Northgate to invest £500,000 in new Mobile Technician service vans

The two-year ongoing investment programme is intended to further strengthen its customer service delivery.

The new vehicles for Northgate’s technicians feature custom-built shelving and oil storage solutions, an upgraded workbench and storage, plus new lighting both inside and out of the vehicle

These improvements will ensure that Northgate’s Mobile Technician vehicles meet safety and compliance regulations for all customer site visits

All of the improvements are a result of a recent audit of the mobile technician vans, which identified a number of areas for improvement

The first stage of the investment began earlier last month with a prototype vehicle being introduced at Northgate’s north east Blaydon branch

Mark Bowens, mobile operations performance manager at Northgate Vehicle Hire, commented: “This investment in our frontline services with the upgraded service vehicles for our Mobile Technicians is a demonstration of how seriously Northgate takes customer service delivery. We have listened to feedback from our team of technicians on what they need day-to-day to make their jobs easier and provide the best possible service to Northgate customers

“The vans in Blaydon are just the start of an ongoing investment programme for our Mobile Technician service. The entire programme will allow Northgate to keep customers’ vehicles on the road and minimise disruption to their business activities, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.”
