The firm, which provides nationwide delivery of workplace fruit, snacks, flowers, approached Marshall Fleet Solutions after expanding its customer offer to include chilled and ambient products, such as milk.

Marshall Fleet Solutions – which is the main supplier of Thermo King transport refrigeration equipment in the UK – proposed the ColdCube units as the solution for Officedrop’s diverse loads and guided Officedrop with its new distribution vehicle fleet acquisition programme, from the initial concept to the units being installed in 45 of the company’s 66 strong Ford Transit fleet, in readiness for use across the nationwide Officedrop network.

The ColdCube containers provide a flexible, portable cooling and freezing facility for a variety of applications, offering cooling from 20°C to 0°C and freezing options from 20°C to -21°C. The containers can also be easily moved from one application to another, and feature a visible user interface to view current temperature and status without opening the container and a digital readout for precise temperature set point control.

Ben Thompson, founder and managing director of Officedrop, said: “The ColdCube solution supplied and set up by Marshall Fleet Solutions offers my business the flexibility, diversity and adaptability to perform at the highest level expected by my customers.”
