Ogilvie Fleet wins Fleet Service Company of the Year

The company was also highly commended in the Customer Service Award and Best Local Fleet Provider Award categories.

The fleet industry awards were judged by an independent panel drawn from the business and motor trade community in Northern Ireland.

Ogilvie Fleet was described by the judges as a ‘clear winner of the category for a range of customer care initiatives including clear policies on vehicle disposal, end of period damage and short term rentals.’

In late 2012 Ogilvie Fleet announced it was investing around £2.5 million in its business in the province as well as making available to its Northern Ireland customers the raft of fleet management online tools and other services that in recent years have transformed the company into a multi award-winning success on the UK mainland.

Additionally, in the first half of 2013 the company relocated to Quay Gate House in Belfast, enabling Ogilvie Fleet to triple the size of its business to over 3,000 vehicles.

Collecting the award, Jim Humphrey, regional manager of Ogilvie Fleet Northern Ireland, said: ‘Ogilvie Fleet is on track to become the number one vehicle leasing provider in Northern Ireland and being named the best Fleet Service Company in the province will further accelerate our ambitions.

‘We believe it is possible to achieve our goal as a result of on-going investment, the availability to customers in the province of our multi award-winning product portfolio as well as innovative web-based solutions for fleet decision-makers and drivers and finally first-class customer service.

‘Customers in Northern Ireland want to benefit from account management at a local level and we are not only complying with that wish but our ongoing investment in vehicle management systems means service levels are at, we believe, unprecedented levels.’

Ogilvie Fleet sales and marketing director Nick Hardy added: ‘The Award is proof positive that Ogilvie Fleet is at the forefront of the fleet industry across the UK.

‘But we will not rest on our laurels. While our record of awards over recent years proves the strength of our customer service proposition, we know that there are areas that require fine tuning to ensure Ogilvie Fleet continues to lead the UK contract hire and leasing industry.’

The Awards, which followed a Discussion Forum about the key issues facing the fleet vehicle marketplace in Northern Ireland and a Motor Show, were attended by 350 people and held at the Clandeboye Lodge Hotel, Bangor.
