Paragon Route updates provide visibility of sub-contracted fleets

Logistics operations can now get visibility of sub-contracted loads using Paragon’s routing and scheduling software.

Data can now be combined from up to 35 different telematics systems.

Updates to the Route Execution module now mean that data can be combined from up to 35 different telematics systems, enabling real-time analysis of how third-party vehicles are performing against plan in addition to the in-house fleet. The new module can also ensure customers are kept up to date regarding the status of orders with automated notifications of any changes in arrival times.

“Logistics operations typically have little or no view of sub-contracted, one-way vehicle movements once they have left the warehouse, so it is almost impossible to alert customers to any unexpected issues or measure performance levels,” said Phil Ingham, support director of Paragon Software Systems. “We have developed an interface to enable multiple tracking feeds, so logistics operations can now take full advantage of third-party suppliers without losing visibility and control.”
