Parcelforce collaborates with Motormax for safer and greener fleet

Parcelforce is trialling a range of pioneering safety equipment on an CNG-fuelled Iveco Daily in line with its work to make its fleet safer and greener.

Parcelforce has collaborated with Motormax, Guest Motors and VLS to equip its CNG-fuelled Daily with  ground-breaking safety solutions

The project, which started in May 2022, is being run in collaboration with Motormax, Guest Motors and Vehicle Lease & Service (VLS) and has seen the van equipped with ground-breaking safety solutions.

These include Safetymax – Motormax’s exclusive range of audible and visual warning safety systems and cameras installed using its bespoke Rapid Fit plug and play wiring system.

Not only is the equipment pioneering but the CNG-fuelled Daily provides a cleaner alternative to diesels as Parcelforce moves to further reduce emissions and its impact on the environment.

Brendan Conlin, Parcelforce Worldwide transport manager, commented: “Parcelforce is committed to improving the safety of our fleet whilst reducing our impact on the environment. Relying so heavily on vehicles we are aware of our impact in the community. We look forward to working in partnership with Motormax to achieve a safer and more efficient fleet.”

James Haycock, Motormax co-founder and director, welcomed the opportunity to work with Parcelforce and Guest Motors on the project.

“Our technology is set to make a significant impact on the safety of one of the UK’s largest fleets. Motormax fully supports the company to operate a safer and greener fleet.”
