Petit Forestier Group takes major stake in Australia’s Eurocold

Petit Forestier Group has acquired a major shareholding in Australia’s Eurocold, expanding its refrigerated rental business into a new continent.

Australia’s Eurocold has a fleet of 260 refrigerated rental vehicles and a team of 35 people

Eurocold, founded in 2021 by Avraam Solomon and located in the Brisbane area, specialises in the rental of refrigerated vehicles, with a fleet of 260 vehicles and a team of 35 people.

The partnership supports Petit Forestier Group’s global ambitions. The family business, headed by Léonard Forestier, is a European leader in the refrigerated rental sector and is strengthening its position worldwide.

The group will now generate 50% of its vehicle rental business outside its domestic market, underscoring its ambition to become the world leader in sustainable refrigerated vehicle rental.

Petit Forestier also acquired Freezerent at the end of 2023, expanding its presence in the UK.

Petit Forestier Group said Eurocold shares the same corporate culture and values, with a focus on service, customer satisfaction and close working relationships.

Léonard Forestier commented: “The acquisition of Eurocold will accelerate our growth. It’s a great entrepreneurial success story whose values, such as service and customer satisfaction, are in line with those of our group. We are delighted to welcome the Eurocold teams to the group, and to set off to conquer a new continent, in collaboration with Avraam, who will have the talent to develop our model in this market.”

Avraam Solomon added: “Petit Forestier Group’s expertise, their commitment to the industry and the priority they give to their employees all make this acquisition an ideal partnership. Our knowledge of the Australian market combined with Petit Forestier Group’s experience will enable us to dominate the Australian market.

“Above all, it was important for me to go beyond a simple financial transaction, which was an obvious choice with Léonard Forestier.”
