Based on the group’s EMP2 modular platform, both models offer up to 1,400kg of payload capacity, 6.6m3 of load volume and can tow up to 2,500kg.
Priced from £17,495 to £26,545, the vehicles will be available in van, Combi and Crew Van versions, as well as being specified in three lengths (XS: 4.60m, M: 4.95m and XL: 5.30m).
Both models come with a choice of three trim levels in the UK: X, Enterprise and Enterprise Plus for the Dispatch while the Peugeot comes in Expert S, Expert Professional and Expert Professional Plus.
Entry-level equipment for both includes twin sliding side doors, unglazed twin rear doors, full steel bulkhead, remote locking with deadlocks, dual passenger bench seat, DAB radio, Bluetooth, speed limiter /cruise control and electric windows.
Engine line-up covers 1.6-litre and 2-litre diesel engines ranging from 95hp (210Nm) with a manual gearbox to 180hp (400Nm) with an EAT6 automatic gearbox.
Citroën has confirmed that the Dispatch’s 22.4-litre Adblue tank will provide a maximum range of up to 12,600 miles, before it needs to be replenished, while the tank on the Expert will provide a range of up to 9,320 miles.
At the CV Show, three new Citroën Dispatch models are being displayed alongside a Nemo van, a Berlingo BlueHDi-powered van, a Berlingo Electric van, a new Relay Crew Van and a Relay ‘Ready to Run’ tipper.
Meanwhile two Expert models will be on display on the Peugeot stand alongside the brand’s Traveller i-Lab Concept, a Boxer Pro model and two Partner vans, one liveried in Royal Mail livery and one in police livery.
Both the Dispatch and Expert will be available to order from June 2016 ahead of going on sale in September.
