Pricing announced for new Vauxhall Combo van

Vauxhall’s new Combo van is now available to order, bringing new engine and a lower list price across the range.

Vauxhall Combo

Revealed earlier this summer and due in showrooms this December, the new model is priced from £15,630 excluding VAT and Vauxhall says all Combo variants have a lower list price compared to their predecessors.

The fifth-generation model now shares PSA’s EMP2 people-carrier platform with the Peugeot Partner and Citroën Berlingo as a result of Vauxhall now being part of the PSA Group, and the latest model brings updated design, with two proper body lengths. It also offers a range of new technologies, including Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), and latest PSA engine and transmission choices – Vauxhall says both petrol and diesel engines are best-in-class on fuel economy and CO2 efficiency.

Engine line-up covers three diesels – comprising 75hp and 100hp 1.6-litre units married up with a manual five-speed gearbox and a 130hp 1.6-litre with a six-speed manual. Petrol options cover a 1.2-litre unit offering 110hp with a six-speed manual or 130hp with an eight-speed auto.

Combo 75hp and 100hp diesels have been tested against the Euro 6C emissions cycle while the 130hp 1.5-litre and both diesels are Euro 6D Temp. Official CO2 stands at 111 and 109g/km for the 75hp and 100hp diesels and 116g/km for the 130hp with combined mpg economy of 66, 67 and 64mpg respectively. Official CO2 for the 110hp 1.2-litre is 124g/km and 52mpg while the 130hp unit is still to be confirmed.

Three trims are offered: Edition, Sportive and Limited Edition NAV (LE NAV). The Combo Edition features a four-way adjustable driver seat and a passenger seat with under-seat storage, 15-inch wheels with a centre cover and a fixed steel bulkhead, a kerbside sliding door and overhead storage allow for easy loading. It also comes with a five-inch display radio with Bluetooth and DAB, one-touch windows and electric and heated exterior mirrors.

The Combo Sportive features a six-way driver seat with lumbar support, armrest and storage, as well as a four-way passenger seat. Equipment includes 16-inch wheels with a full cover, air conditioning, metallic paint, front and rear body-colour bumpers, rear parking sensors, cruise control (with speed limiter) and an alarm to improve security.

The Combo LE NAV is available with body colour exterior mirrors, exterior door handles, side protection mouldings and front bumper with skid plate. Also included are 16-inch alloy wheels and an eight-inch touchscreen with NAVI.

The Combo is also offered as a Crewvan fitted with a fold-flat passenger seat, as well as a two-position caged bulkhead.
