Unveiled earlier this year, the latest generation of PSA’s light commercial vehicles now also include the Vauxhall Combo and introduce new technologies and driver assistance systems that helped the trio scoop the International Van of the Year title for 2018.

Offered in two lengths, the Peugeot Partner and Citroën Berlingo vans will both be priced from £15,825 excluding VAT.

The Partner is offered in S, Grip, Professional or Asphalt trim levels, with Grip, Professional and Asphalt versions benefiting from the Multi-Flex modular folding passenger seat, which provides an additional load length of 1,273mm and increases the load volume by 0.6m3.

The new Berlingo van comes in four trim levels – X, Enterprise, Worker and Driver – which differ in terms of specification, ground clearance, under-vehicle engine protection and equipment.

Both the Partner and Berlingo also come with telematics hardware, which provides the basis for three different telematics packages from Free2Move Connect Fleet. Supported by true vehicle CAN bus data, these bring fleet information including mileage tracking, hours of use, fuel consumption or real-time monitoring of service intervals and mechanical alerts. Driving analysis with customised advice for the driver and real-time location tracking are also available.

Other features on offer include new-to-segment technology, such as automatic electronic parking brake, a new Overload Indicator that informs the driver when the maximum authorised mass is exceeded, and Surround Rear Vision, which displays footage from two rear cameras on a five-inch colour screen that replaces the traditional rear-view mirror.

The Partner also features Flankguard – a system informing the driver of the proximity of objects to the side of the manoeuvering vehicle.

Diesel engines for both models include the BlueHDi 75 manual, BlueHDi 100 S&S manual, BlueHDi 130 S&S 6-speed manual and the Blue HDi 130 S&S EAT8 automatic. PureTech petrol engines are also planned and will be subject to a further announcement in 2019.
