Quartix expands sales teams to support larger business fleets

Telematics and tracking specialist Quartix has appointed a new sales director and expanded its UK and French sales teams to provide increased field sales capacity.

Sean Maher, sales director at Quartix

Sean Maher – previously UK field sales manager – has now become sales director. He holds 13 years of telematics experience with Quartix and is credited with having built very strong relationships with fleet managers, operations managers and business owners nationwide.

Quartix has also expanded its UK and French sales teams to elevate engagement with the larger business fleet sector. In France, David DuFoix embarks on his first year of promoting Quartix in the field, based in Lyon. He has over 25 years of experience in new technologies, including Siemens and Mapping Control.

And in the UK, Ray Barnett and John Lilwall join Andy Edwards and Joanne Dann in the UK Field Sales team, headed up by Maher. Barnett will cover large fleets in London and the South East while Lilwall will cover the Midlands and East Anglia.

The changes come on the back of strong results in 2020, despite the pandemic.

In the summer, Quartix customer numbers in France and the US rose by 12% and 9% respectively. In newer territories, namely Italy, Spain and Germany, Quartix saw its total subscription base increase by 85%.

“In what was the most challenging year for businesses worldwide, Quartix powered through to achieve remarkable trading results, demonstrating growth and resilience. We begin this year in a great position and I’m eager to see the difference our new team members can make in 2021,” commented Maher on the UK results.

The business has set higher targets for 2021, particularly with larger business fleets, and intends to keep the momentum gained over the past couple of years.

“We’ve navigated the pandemic admirably and kept on track, which is a great testament to our teams and our customer relationships,” says Andy Walters, CEO of Quartix.
