A new service that gives fleets the knowledge and confidence to make a successful transition to electric vehicles is launching from telematics specialist Quartix.
Dubbed Evolve, it will help fleets decide which vehicles to migrate to EVs based on real-world telematics data, and will initially launch in the UK before rolling out to the rest of Europe and the US later this year.
Due to be fully revealed in a webinar in early June, EVolve uses your fleet’s recent GPS data to suggest the most feasible electric vehicle migration plan, based on your fleet’s trips, types of vehicles and distances travelled, and then creates a series of recommendations based on a sophisticated AI solution.
The result is a comprehensive recommendation which outlines the potential impact on total cost of ownership, as well as emission reductions and fuel spend savings.
Customers will also see a ‘best matched vehicle’ list, fully customised to their unique fleet requirements.
It also provides a list of required charging point installations and types of chargers, using latest public information.
The solution transforms what’s normally a hugely complex task into a simple report that’s simple to use and always up to date. Fleets can run the reports as often as needed, gaining information on any updated or newly available EV vehicles or charging options, the latest fuel and electric prices and any changes to EV incentives.
The service has already received highly positive feedback from customers, who have said that it will significantly save them time and money when planning EV transitions.
Quartix CEO Richard Lilwall commented: “I am delighted to offer EVolve to our customers. This tool will help fleets de-mystify the transition to electric vehicles and enable them to make key decisions based on their own real-world telematics data.”
