The RAC will be at next month’s Great British Fleet Event to raise awareness of its mobile mechanic proposition.
The automotive services company, an event partner to the 2024 GBFE, is well known for its breakdown cover and its roadside assistance services, but will also be spotlighting its mobile services.
Launched in summer 2023, the service now boasts more than 150 mobile mechanics as demand continues to grow for servicing and repairs to be carried out at home or work – either for conventional petrol and diesel cars or electric vehicles.
It’s founded around the ‘we bring the garage to you’ approach saving fleet drivers the hassle of getting their car to a garage; a particular benefit for four in 10 (40%) UK adults now working from home at least some of the week.
RAC Mobile Mechanics can also be booked outside of core operating hours, before or after a driver’s shift or on a rest day, guaranteeing minimal vehicle downtime and maximising business efficiency.
RAC Mobile Mechanics support drivers and fleets with routine maintenance by completing diagnostic checks, interim and full services to keep the car running between full services. All mechanics are highly trained in vehicle diagnostics, qualified to IMI Level 2 standard and EV trained.
The service ticks many boxes for fleets – removing the time and productivity costs associated with having to take vehicles to a dealer or garage, while ensuring servicing is completed to vehicle manufacturer specifications by fully qualified technicians.
At the 2024 GBFE – on 17 April at the Marshall Arena, Milton Keynes – experts from the RAC’s business team will shed more light on how its mobile mechanics can support your fleet.
All fleets need to do is sign up for a free GBFE ticket here and attend the event. They’ll also hear from other leading-edge fleet services and solutions, network with peers and find out about latest industry developments in the Masterclass conference programme. Other show highlights include the evening’s glittering black-tie dinner to reveal the winners of this year’s Great British Fleet Awards.
