RED Driver Training’s online solution to help train rising number of delivery drivers

RED Driver Training is offering fleet driver training online as demand for delivery drivers rises during the Covid-19 outbreak.

Ian McIntosh, CEO of RED Driving School

The business offers a suite of e-learning services to provide a cost-effective, quick and flexible online driver assessment that tests a driver’s skills, knowledge, history and attitude.

The platform can be used for new recruits as part of the induction process, as well as for existing employees who have been redeployed.

The virtual offering includes e-learning modules across 20 topics including safety margins, fatigue, journey planning and road signs. Psychometric questioning assesses the risk of each driver and offers custom modules based on different attitudes or behaviours, while providing a robust audit trail for employers.

Ian McIntosh, CEO of RED Driving School, said: “Now is not the time for businesses to cut corners. Customer service teams are under more pressure than ever, but that is no excuse for employers to send untrained drivers onto the road and neglect their duty of care.

“A comprehensive fleet driver training programme is vital to ensure drivers are safe and efficient. Furthermore, well-trained drivers reduce insurance premiums and maintenance costs.

“RED’s e-learning programme allows businesses to train their employees from the safety of their own homes and could help with onboarding during this difficult time.”
