The number of visitors pre-registering to attend the Show, which is being sponsored by Barclaycard Fuel+ in association with TMC, is up 118% on the same time last year. And more than 60% of the growth has come from new visitors who did not register to attend last year’s event.
At the same time, the number of exhibitors has increased by 52% over last year’s Show, which itself set new records for the number of visitors, exhibitors and test-drives. In the last few days, several new exhibitors have booked to attend – with a small amount of stand space left in Hall 3 to accommodate a handful more.
“Our challenge for the 2015 Fleet Show was to build on the success of our record event last year and create something bigger and better still for this year,” said Jerry Ramsdale, show director and publisher of Fleet World.
“Well, we have done that, with the highest ever number of exhibitors, more vehicle manufacturers than ever before, and a record number of visitors already registered – all with almost two months still to go.
“We were delighted with the quality of the audience last year, and this year we are equally delighted to report that more than 60% of pre-registered visitors are new to the event.
“Our message that the Fleet Show offers a unique experience in terms of test driving, exhibition, education and networking, is clearly getting across to fleet decision-makers. We believe this year’s Show will again offer this same, fantastic full-day experience,” he said.
The Fleet Show has already attracted a record 24 vehicle manufacturers, including several who have never participated before, such as Ford Motor Company and the Fiat Group.
This will give fleet managers the opportunity to evaluate the very latest conventionally powered vehicles, alongside pure electric and hybrid models.
And they will again be able to experience test driving on three circuits of the world-famous Silverstone Grand Prix venue, plus off-road driving on the challenging 4×4 course.
However, as before, the Fleet Show isn’t simply about test driving, and a visit to Silverstone provides an appealing mix of education, networking and static displays that guarantee a day out of the office will not be wasted.
Back again by popular demand are the highly successful fleet training sessions introduced last year, which involve a series of interactive workshops run by practising fleet managers. The 30-minute workshops will again tackle key fleet topics and are the perfect forum find out more about the latest issues in fleet management.
Meanwhile, the Silverstone Wing will again play host to a wide-ranging fleet exhibition boasting a diverse array of exhibitors. This area will also provide Show visitors with the chance to hold face-to-face meetings and socially interact with exhibitors and other visitors alike.
With a small amount of stand space still available, would-be exhibitors will need to move fast to take advantage of the last few remaining places.
Jerry Ramsdale added: “Anyone who still would like to exhibit needs to get in touch as soon as possible as there is still a small amount of space available. Demand has been overwhelming, following the outstanding success of last year’s event, and records are being broken in all areas of the event.”
