Remac celebrates all-female crew with special Iveco

Nationwide resurfacing and utilities specialist Remac has added eight new Iveco vans to its 60-strong fleet of vehicles.

The new arrivals include a hero Daily van, which will be run by an all-female crew

The new line-up includes a hero Iveco Daily van, which will be run by an all-female crew to cement the company’s inclusive standpoint in the sector.

Finished in a bright pink livery, and proudly displaying the mantra “she believes she could, so she did”, the unique Daily van joins the fleet in line with Remac’s ongoing support for women in the construction industry.

Claire Chivers, director at Remac, commented: “It is so important in the construction industry that we give equal opportunities to all our staff and celebrate that diversity where we can.”

Remac has also added another four Iveco Daily 3.5-tonne vans and three Iveco Daily 7.2-tonne dropsides, used by its teams to transport heavy tools, equipment and materials to various sites around the UK.

Chivers added: “We are extremely happy with the new vehicles as they perform well in all conditions. The twin rear wheels give us the confidence and stability when towing heavy equipment and the turning circle of the Daily is unmatched.”

Remac’s crews are also benefiting from the Daily’s hi-comfort memory foam seats and City Mode steering, while specification is further enhanced by Business trim, which includes manual air conditioning, front fog lights, cruise control and electrically heated door mirrors.

Richie Croker, area sales manager at dealer Southwest Truck and Van, said: “It’s been a pleasure working with and delivering multiple vehicles to Remac as part of the continual replacement programme we have set in place. When they spoke about the idea of an all-female crewed van, it was clear to see the passion and excitement for the project which we were honoured to be a part of.”
