Renault confirms pricing & spec for new Master

Renault has announced UK pricing for the panel and crew van versions of its new Master, which are available to order now priced from £21,120 (basic price excluding VAT and OTR charges).

The new Master range offers a made-to-measure selection of more than 120 versions in the UK, with a choice of four lengths and three heights, Panel Van, Crew Cab, Platform Cab, Chassis Cab, Tippers, Dropside and Box Van variants, as well as front- and rear-wheel drive, for a carrying capacity of between eight and 22 cubic metres. “Ready4Work” models with factory-fitted racking and storage will also be offered.

There is also a choice of four GVW weights: 2800kg, 3300, 3500 or 4500.

New additions are the L4H2 and L4H3 panel van versions with single rear wheels, which are being targeted for long-distance use and courier firms due to their long final-drive ratio and wider space between the wheel-arches.

Engine line-up comprises five all-diesel 2.3-litre engines, including three new ENERGY engines in the form of the dCi 110, dCi 135 and dCi 165. There are also two 110hp and 125hp units. The 135hp and 165hp powerplants are equipped with Twin Turbo technology, giving fuel economy of up to 40.9 mpg (combined) and CO2 emissions of 180g/km. For the 165, this gives a fuel-consumption saving of 7.3mpg despite delivering 15 extra horsepower and 10Nm of additional torque.

Fuel consumption can be improved even further by up to 10% with the ECOmode, which adjusts engine torque and the heating settings.

All engines are married up to six-speed manual or Quickshift6 transmissions.

The Master will be offered in two trim levels in the UK, Business and Business+ and will bring a wealth of new equipment as standard, including DAB radio with CD player, ESC with Grip Xtend, Hill Start Assist and Trailer Swing Assist.

Available options include cruise control with speed limiter for £250, climate control at £950 (or £200 upgrade on Business+), and finally Renault’s integrated Carminat TomTom satellite navigation with 2x20W radio CD, Bluetooth and USB and fingertip controls priced at £650. Also on offer is air suspension for £2,000, auto lights and wipers, plus front fog lights at £250 and cornering lights for £130.

There are five Options Packs, including the Driving Pack, which provides air conditioning, one-touch electric front windows, cruise control and speed limiter for £900. An Executive Pack offers air conditioning, front fog lights, cruise control, speed limiter and pivoting seatback table with dual-split underseat storage all-in for £900.

Aimed at tradesmen, the Loading Pack features an additional key, right unglazed side loading door, three-button key, 270 degree opening rear doors and ply lining at £800. The last, Style Pack, combines 16-inch alloy wheels with front fog lights for £500.

In partnership with Bri-Stor, Renault is also offering two types of off-the-shelf solution racking for its van range, including the Master, under the “Ready4Work” banner.

Ready4Work range will be available on the short and medium wheelbase versions of New Master, with basic prices for it fitted at £1,250 (excluding VAT) for Storage System 1 and £1,500 for the Specialist Storage System.

The new Master is available to order now, with first deliveries due in September.

Basic pricing starts at £21,120 for the Panel Van Business SWB Low Roof model in FWD SL28 dCi 110 guise and rises to £29,070 for the Business+ LWB Medium Roof in FWD LM35 ENERGY dCi 165 and £28,900 for the seven-seater Crew Van Business+ MWB Medium Roof FWD MM35 dCi 125.

Conversion prices start from £23,300 (basic price) for the single Chassis Cab FWD ML35 dCi 125 and £33,600 for the Luton FWD LL35 ENERGY dCi 165.
