The initiative, which debuted at the CV Show earlier this year, is designed to enable customers to specify their chosen equipment and have it fitted so the driver is “Ready4Work” as soon as the vehicle is collected from the dealership and does not lose any downtime fitting storage retrospectively.
Ready4Work also means that the vehicle can be financed in one complete package.
Two types of off-the-shelf solution racking are available, installed in conjunction with vehicle storage specialist Bri-Stor, covering most of the small business and trades market requirements. Aimed at tradespeople such as electricians and plumbers, each will be available across the entire Renault commercial vehicle range, starting immediately with the All-New Trafic.
Commenting on the announcement, Steve Wilson, Renault’s LCV product manager responsible for Ready4Work, said: ‘We don’t want customers losing time and money waiting to get their new vans fitted out after they’ve picked them up. This way, everything you need is fitted at Renault’s import centre and ready for you to collect and just get on with the next job: you’re ready for work. It’s the most cost-effective, efficient way of ordering a new van.’
Its two solutions consist of light weight, high strength, vehicle storage and van racking, designed to provide professionals with a durable system suitable for carrying a wide range of tools, components and accessories.
The Ready4Work range will be available on both standard and long wheelbase versions of Kangoo Van, All-New Trafic and short and medium wheelbase versions of New Master. Basic prices for it fitted in All-New Trafic start at £995 (excluding VAT) for Storage System 1 and £1,200 for the Specialist Storage System. New Master prices start at £1,250 for the short wheelbase and £1,500 for medium wheelbase. Kangoo Van will cost from £750 to £1,000.
