Renault Trafic E-Tech eLCV on sale with 186-mile range

Renault’s fully electric Trafic E-Tech is now on sale, delivering up to 186 miles of range plus rapid charging up to 50kW.

The zero-emission van is available in three versions with a choice of two body lengths and two heights

Priced from £34,500 (incl. PiVG excl. VAT), the zero-emission van is available in three versions with a choice of two body lengths and two heights.

This is the first time Renault’s mid-sized Trafic van has been available with a fully electric powertrain and our early road test of the eLCV indicated it has been worth the wait.

It joins the Kangoo E-Tech 100% electric and new Master E-Tech 100% electric in Renault’s Pro+ range, providing all-electric LCVs designed to suit every business.

Two body lengths (5.08 and 5.48 metres) and two heights (1.967 and 2.498 metres) are available, providing load space ranging from 5.8m3 to 8.9m3 while the LWB version can accommodate loads of up to 4.15 metres in length with the help of the load-through facility. The Trafic E-Tech also delivers up to 920kg of towing capacity and a maximum payload of up to 1,222kg.

The cabin has up to 88 litres of storage space on offer, including 19.7 litres in the console, 14.6 litres in the doors and 54 litres in the bench. It also carries over the Trafic’s ‘Mobile Office’, using the middle passenger seat as a folding table with detachable A4 clipboard and laptop storage.

It’s powered by a 120hp electric motor, providing 245Nm of torque. The 52kWh battery enables a WLTP range of up to 186 miles on a single charge and rapid DC charging up to 50kW can fully recharge the battery from flat in an hour.

Standard equipment includes an Easy Link display with 8-inch touchscreen, wireless smartphone integration with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, full LED headlights with C-shaped DRLs and heated electrically adjustable door mirrors. The Trafic E-Tech also comes with safety features such as rear parking sensors, cruise control with speed limiter, intelligent speed assist, active emergency braking system, tyre pressure warning, lane departure warning, driver attention alert and drowsiness warning.

Also standard are a premium dashboard with horizontal grain and chrome styling, a 7-inch colour driver information display, height-adjustable driver’s seat with lumbar adjustment and armrest, electric front windows with one-touch operation for the driver, air-con with pollen filter, and the Mobile Office with folding middle passenger seat.

Available options include climate control, heated seats, 360-degree parking sensors, rear parking camera, automatic high beam, automatic headlights, rain sensitive wipers, blind spot warning, and a range of door and glazing configurations.

First deliveries of the Renault Trafic E-Tech are expected from September.
