Isuzu has revised its D-Max pickup with new styling and extra equipment to boost its appeal to work-focused and lifestyle-orientated drivers.
Designed to be “Smarter, Stronger, Safer” and built to embody Isuzu’s ‘Driven To Do’ ethos, the updated D-Max is available in two distinct ranges: Business and All-Purpose.
The Business Range, featuring the Utility model, is designed as a no-nonsense workhorse available in single, extended, and double cab formats. It comes with durable vinyl flooring, robust steel wheels and a variety of safety features.
The All-Purpose Range caters to those seeking premium features and modern styling and is split into three grades.
The DL20 model, available in both extended and double cab body styles, comes with heated seats, carpeted interiors and alloy wheels.
Sitting above this, the DL40 trim introduces bi-LED headlights, leather upholstery and dual-zone climate control.
The top-rung V-Cross features dark grey exterior finishes, infotainment system with 9-inch screen, dual-zone climate control and an 8-speaker premium sound system. This model also introduces the new Sienna Orange colour.
The redesigned cabin comes with soft-touch materials, ergonomic seating and a USB-C port.
Standard equipment includes an 8-inch (9-inch for V-Cross) infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity and an 8-inch driver display.
Ready for all terrains, the D-Max offers up to 3.5 tonnes of towing capacity and a payload exceeding a tonne. A rear differential lock is now standard on all 4×4 models, while the newly added Rough Terrain Mode ensures steady progress by distributing power to the wheels with the most grip.
All models also get reinforced underbody protection and an upgraded ladder chassis while the 4WD Shift-on-the-Fly system allows drivers to switch between two- and four-wheel drive configurations.
Every model is equipped with latest advanced driver assist systems (ADAS). New additions includes intelligent adaptive cruise control, working in conjunction with traffic sign recognition, traffic jam assist, new turn assist, new rear cross traffic braking, improved lane keep assist and attention assist.
Double cab models get eight airbags, including a centre airbag for added protection during side collisions, plus eCall technology, while the latest D-Max also has a five-star Euro NCAP safety rating.
