RH Commercial Vehicles revamps former TOM Vehicles Rental site for new HQ

Independent Renault Truck dealership RH Commercial Vehicles (RHCV) has started work on a brand-new £3.5m head office and service site in Nottingham, based at a former TOM Vehicle Rental site.

Mock-up of how the new site will look

RHCV was granted planning permission in late 2018 for the 1.7-acre site in the Bulwell area of Nottingham, which will replace its current head office on Lenton Lane in the city as part of its strategic investment plan to enhance its facilities.

The site, which will be fully operational by June 2019, will include purpose-built offices, which will be used to house RHCV’s growing team; the business has 118 employees across four sites and has doubled in size over the past six years. It will also feature a new larger workshop and parts dept, a brand-new ATF lane, paint booth and tacho-rolling bay as well as enhanced washroom facilities for drivers.

The new site follows RHCV’s acquisition of Renault Truck Commercials in Northampton last April and is part of the team’s strategic plans to enhance its presence along the M1 corridor.

Nigel Baxter, managing director at RH Commercial Vehicles, said: “RHCV has gone from strength to strength, through the successful delivery of a very clear sales strategy and a determined management team. Our approach has provided a steady increase in new and used truck sales, workshop and parts delivery alongside a strong and flexible truck and van rental offer. We are dedicated to working closely with our customers’ and listening and responding to their needs.”
