RHA to host “all you need to know” seminar on new Type Approval standard

Being held in conjunction with automotive consultancy company MIRA at Nuneaton, the seminar takes place at on Wednesday 30th July and will feature a panel of Type Approval and certification experts who will explain the implications of the standard and give full details of what steps members need to take in order to continue operating their fleets within the law.

This event will provide attendees with:

  • An overview of Type Approval which will give a better understanding of the overall requirements
  • Insights into the key points to be aware of from a legislative perspective when buying vehicles
  • Alternative approval options for when the documentation is not available

MIRA's experts will be on hand following the presentations to answer questions which will take place around examples of typical RHA member vehicles to provide working examples of how Type Approval is applied.

RHA chief executive Geoff Dunning said: ‘The recovery from recession means that more and more operators will be looking for replacement or additional vehicles – sometimes at short notice. This, and the new Type Approval Regulations, mean that there could easily be a shortage of supply at a time when new legislation makes vehicle or trailer purchase more complicated. We are grateful to MIRA for the offer to brief members on this issue and I am sure that it will be a very useful event for operators who are in the market for new equipment.’

The event starts at 10am and ends at 12.15pm. To find out more or to book a place, please contact RHA Southern & Eastern Director John Howells at [email protected] or Tel: + 44 (0) 1733 842763
